Biography Project

Michio with Wako on her first visit to Taos, 1967

Wako Takayama, Michio’s granddaughter, researched the life and art of her grandfather.

She presented a paper titled Michio Takayama: Tokyo to Taos at the Southwest Art History Conference (SWAHC) on October 14, 1999 and wrote an essay in the Retrospective Catalog.
